Reviews
Eckland provides a thorough review
of all documents for adequacy, completeness and coordination of
the various engineering disciplines. Documents reviewed include:
- Project specifications and construction
drawings, including the civil, architectural, structural, mechanical,
electrical, plumbing and fire protection.
- Soils report, survey, permits,
flood plain statement, construction schedule, owner/architect
and owner/contractor agreements, utility statements, builder's
risk insurance certificate, zoning compliance statement and the
schedule of values.
Cost Reviews
Eckland analyzes the construction
cost for the major work categories by comparing their unit costs
with those of other reviewed building projects of comparable size,
type and location. Recommendations are made regarding the adequacy
of the building costs and the need, if any, for contingencies or
other modifications.
